Confidentiality

Everything discussed in our work together is treated confidentially.

Confidentiality may only be broken where:

• There is serious risk of harm to yourself or others

• Safeguarding concerns arise

• Disclosure is required by law

• Information is discussed within professional supervision

Where possible, this will be discussed with you first.

Supervision

As part of safe professional practice, I attend regular clinical supervision in accordance with BACP requirements. Our work together may be discussed anonymously with a qualified supervisor.

Storage of information

Paper records are stored securely and electronic records are password protected.

Retention of records

Records are usually kept for 7 years after our work together ends and then securely destroyed.
